Mario currently serves as a Virtual CFO & Senior Business Advisor, providing Fractional CFO/Controller and Accounting Outsourcing services for SMBs at Howard, Howard & Hodges, CPAs, a firm with various offices in Central Florida. With over 30 years of experience in financial advisory, assurance services, accounting systems, and strategic taxation, Mario has a solid foundation in business management.

In 2024, he earned Executive Certificates in Mergers & Acquisitions from Columbia Business School and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) from Wharton, University of PA. He is currently pursuing a CFO Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School and an MBA in Business Analytics from Jindal Global University.

For nearly ten years, he received hands-on CPA training from Big-4 alumni while working at a top regional CPA firm in the Washington, DC area, Aronson, LLC, now APRIO, LLP, a national CPA & advisory firm ranked #26 by Accounting Today. In 1991, Mario obtained a BBA in Accounting from Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia, and has been a licensed CPA in Virginia since 1996.

Mario has held C-suite and management roles for over 20 years, working closely with the CEO, BOD, and cross-functional managers of private companies across multiple industries, including NPOs (501c3, 501c6, and 501c4). He has extensive experience with charitable organizations that receive government grants and contracts, operating in various regions of the world. Mario is well-versed in GAAP, GAAS, and GAGAS, and has expertise in contract management and governmental accounting regulations (Single Audit, DCAA). He has successfully represented clients who receive government awards in disputes over questioned costs before the U.S. Inspector General.


Mario excels in developing strategies for service offerings, leveraging his analytical reasoning, conceptual thinking, and interpersonal skills. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills. Mario’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident from his 15 years as managing partner (Shareholder) at Lopez Group, PC, CPAs. He is highly skilled in Microsoft Office and has extensive experience auditing various accounting systems. Additionally, he is trained in numerous tax software packages.

Christine Carson, EA

Christine has been in the public accounting field since 1987. She graduated in 1987 with an Associates of Science in Accounting and joined a local accounting firm as a staff accountant. She then went on to earn her Enrolled Agent designation in 1998. Since that time, Christine has been providing tax, accounting, payroll and consulting services to a variety of businesses and their owners in the Central Florida area.


Christine brings over 20 years of experience to our Accounting Advisory Team and specializes in providing financial accounting and tax services to SMBs. Her main focus is to provide guidance to our clients so that they are better prepared to reach their business goals.

Vincent has been engaged in the practice of public accounting since 1990. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Vincent received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 1990 and his Masters in Taxation in 1991. In 1993, he founded his own firm. In 2001, he merged his firm with the firm owned by Vivian Howard (Whelchel & Howard, Inc) to form Howard & Company PA (dba Howard, Howard and Hodges). Vincent has extensive experience in the areas of taxation, accounting and management for closely held businesses and individuals. He focuses on working with business owners and professional practices.

Dana R. McBroom, CPA

Dana joined the Howard, Howard and Hodges team in 1988 and became a partner in 2016. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration. Dana is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, a Certified Specialist in Retirement Planning, a Qualified 401(k) Administrator, and a Certified Valuation Analyst. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, estates and trusts, retirement plans, income tax preparation, planning and consulting for businesses and individuals, financial statement preparation, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation support. Dana grew up in Seminole County and lived in Sanford with her family. She volunteers for the Seminole County Schools and Northland Community Church.
